About Us

The FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBICJISWVCAAA) is located in Clarksburg, WV. The alumni association is a private non-profit organization, associated with, but not part of the FBI.

Each FBI Citizens Academy operates under an FBI field office, and is a nine-week program designed to afford business, religious, civic and community leaders with an inside look at the FBI.

Each class allows the FBICJISCAAA to educate and increase awareness to the local community leaders of issues that surround law enforcement officers on a daily basis. Attendees are encouraged to discuss and ask questions in order to understand the many challenges facing law enforcement within the communities they serve.

The goals and objective of the FBI CJIS Citizens Academy are:

  • Increase public awareness about the FBI, its mission, its activities, and its people
  • Provide an avenue for the FBI to hear and respond to community issues and concerns
  • Strengthen relationships and improve understanding between the FBI and the communities it serves.

FBICJISCAAA members serve as ambassadors between the FBI and the community in which they live. Each ambassador helps provide a safer community by promoting and educating their community about law enforcement and the challenges they face. Along with assistance and support on community service projects.

All graduates of the CJIS Division/Clarksburg Resident Agency's FBI Citizens Academy are invited and encouraged to join the CJIS/Clarksburg - FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBICAAA).
